Magpie Solutions was a clean energy company that I co-founded with Joseph Yang, my classmate from MIT. This image shows the brand identity design for our company. The magpie bird was chosen as a metaphor for two reasons - one, it collects and saves small things in its nest which we believed was similar to how our product would save energy for homes, and two, the magpie is considered lucky in Asian cultures.
GridOrder was a cybersecurity startup competing in MIT's Clean Energy Prize in 2015, founded by classmates of mine. This is the brand identity used by the company up until the CEP competition. The aim of the company was to create cybersecurity solutions for energy grids that are underprotected, andthe founders wanted to bring order into that chaotic world.
Proposed logo for Terrafugia brand update. The core idea was to move toward a logo that is more automotive in nature, while capturing what makes Terrafugia unique. The logo depicted here is a T inspired from Origami, which represented the unique folding wing of the Terrafugia transition flying car. This option was ultimately not chosen.
