Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum - Scale Model (2020)

Terrafugia was the earliest player in the recent wave of personal air transport and air mobility to develop a flying car. As a result, the company has long had interest from museums in acquiring and housing an early prototype. One such museum was the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. As a result of changing requirements over time, it was agreed that a scale model of the Terrafugia Transition flying car would be built and handed over to the museum. I drove this project, and my role included creating the 3D model of the Transition, creating color schemes and surface detailing, and working with an external fabricator to produce the model and ensuring quality of deliverable.
